Strategic communications

In 2012, Tom became a partner at the policy communications agency Soapbox. As creative director he managed the 15-strong design team across two sites while running strategic design jobs and large branding projects for clients like the Overseas Development Institute, the Stockholm Environment Institute, the Nuffield Foundation and the Cooperative Party.

During this time he also launched and chaired the monthly WonkComms Breakfast Club seminars for policy communications professionals including chairing a special event at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC.

In 2020, Tom founded the branding and design studio Reforma with the aim of developing brand identities in a new way.

Tom is also studying part-time for an MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute, where he is a member. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
